“If you follow the will of God, you know that in spite of all the terrible things that happen to you, you will never lose a final refuge. You know that the foundation of the world is love, so that even when no human being can or will help you, you may go on, trusting in the One that loves you.”

-Pope Benedict XVI

“Try to fulfill each day’s task steadily and cheerfully. The life of a true Christian should be a prelude to the festivals of eternity.” —Theophane Venard

“The Eucharist should be the heart of every vocational journey: it is here that the love of God touches us in Christ’s sacrifice, the perfect expression of love, and it is here that we learn ever anew how to live according to the “high standard” of God’s love.” —Pope Benedict XVI (2012 World Day of Vocations message, just released)

“Did He not tell us this very truth? When Christ said “I make all things new,” he was really saying something extraordinarily practical: He was telling us his name. He did not say, “I will make some things new,” nor “I sometimes make things new.” No, Christ defined his whole being. I am He who makes all thing new. I am Love. It is the very nature of God — unbound by time — to see us as when we were created. We are forever his newborns. This is why the prophet Zephaniah proclaims that “He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Quiet me? Sing over me? These are not the actions of the aloof dictator or heartless clockmaker that the world would have God limited to. These are the actions of a Father marveling at his newborn baby, the actions of a God of Love and Truth and Beauty and Goodness, holding you, filled with joy over the fact of your fingers and toes, overwhelmed by how immensely beautiful you are. This is our God.” —Marc Barnes

“I invite all of you to do your job well, but do it always with the idea of being sent – being an Apostle of Jesus Christ. Moms and dads, raise your children as if you were raising them for Jesus Christ. Husbands and wives, you have been sent by God to strengthen the beauty, the dignity and the sanctity of marriage. Regardless of where you work and what you do, make sure that your ethics, your morals and your values shine bright. Whatever you do in your life, do it for Jesus Christ. Raise the bar and raise awareness to the Lord of life! Why were the Apostles so successful? Why were they loved or hated so much? Because they tried harder. They didn’t allow barriers or walls or conventions or correctness to get in the way.” —Fr. Alfonse,  Daily Meditations with Fr. Alfonse

“It takes three to make love, not two: you, your spouse, and God. Without God people only succeed in bringing out the worst in one another. Lovers who have nothing else to do but love each other soon find there is nothing else. Without a central loyalty life is unfinished.” —Archbishop Fulton Sheen

Thank you :)

Thank you for praying for my grandpa and my family-I mean that from the bottom of my heart. We were told that my grandpa had a poor prognosis, so my parents took an emergency flight to India. My mom hasn’t seen him in 4 years and is very close to him. She wasn’t taking it well when she found out, so I prayed that she’ll at least get to see and speak him before he passed away. I prayed to St. Joseph, since he is the patron of a happy death. Praying with him, I felt a great sense of peace. My grandfather is one the most devout Catholics I know-his heart is so pure and genuine. My grandparents grew up in poverty, but they just recently built a nice home (with the help of all his kids). Since my grandparents are the only ones who live at the house, my grandpa lends the other rooms to people who need a place to stay due to unfortunate circumstances. Yeah random story, but I just knew heaven would be rejoicing to receive another saint :) Well long story short, I know the mystical Body of Christ have been praying really hard because my grandpa is doing really well and will be out of the hospital in no time-Praise God!

Marin
